511 - Innovation and Concept
The first, introductory lecture for this module will take place on Thursday, 25 September at 3.15 pm in the Conor Lecture Theatre on the Belfast Campus. We look forward to seeing you there.
Final Year
In final year there are three design modules: one in the first semester 511 - Innovation and Concept; and two in the second semester: 512 - Major Project and 513 - Design Presentation and Reporting. Our second semester modules are tightly intertwined and can be accessed in full in semester two from the 512 web pages.

The Design Prize
Every year the final year design staff - Christopher Murphy and Nicklas Persson - select one final year student for the Interactive Design Prize, awarded to the most innovative, enterprising and well-designed project in the final year design modules. The prize fund, paid for by the final year tutors last year paid for an iPod Touch, won by David Henderson.
Web Hosting
As final year students on IMD you should all have your own web hosting in addition to your IMD space. If you're serious about continuing in a career in interactive design you should certainly own your own domain name (web address). No one will take you seriously as a web designer if you're using your university email address or, worse a Hotmail or Gmail address.
